|
The subjects in the Division of Human Sciences are related to all of the other required courses in the curriculum. We try to educate students to grow into mature people who live in a positive and mature way, and to be professionals who have a well-balanced sense of judgement. The subjects in the Division can be considered in five categories. We select these subjects from a variety of fields, and design them to stimulate intellectual curiosity. The curriculum is organized so that students are able to study general education subjects throughout their first three years. In this Division, we have seminars which train students to have the attitude as well as the ability to solve a diverse range of problems in a positive manner. These seminars are required in the first year, which is a unique feature of this university. We also want our students to become medical and welfare professionals with excellent communication skills. Furthermore, we emphasize English, which is the main language for professionals of every kind around the world. We teach English intensively, to give our students a high standard of communication ability, as well as to broaden their world-view. Finally, we emphasize computer-related information education, so that our students will be able to apply their knowledge logically and objectively.
